I think this is your strongest song, however, the last line of the chorus seems too blunt. It shocked me out of the moment. So, instead of “I want the memory of you dead” my suggestion would be to soften it up slightly, but still land it with something like “I want your memory laid to rest.” You also might explain why the black sock makes her emotional. A line like “you wore this to my grandmas funeral”. As the song says “it’s the little things”. This is your song not mine and just my.02

Thanks Robert! Good ideas. We wanted the song to be a bit dark about past relationship obsession and the struggles of getting over it. Like an emotional rollercoaster. Ups are the memories and the dip is the “I want the memory of you dead”; and in the bridge “I don’t want to feel this pain” She wants to move on but core memory triggers pull her back.
