Tracey,

I just listened to all 4 of your posted songs and just wanted to make some general comments. I think you are a very skilled lyricist. I find your rhymes to be clever and unique. I think your phrasing is engaging and really makes your songs stand out versus the norm. I’ve been to many seminars in which we have talked about and looked at examples of some of these things. You do a great job of being creative and keeping your songs from being average.

I presume that Maureen writes your melodies since you listed yourself as the lyricist. I think the melodies are solid and support the lyrics well.

I feel like any critique that I would provide on these 4 songs would merely be nitpicking. I liked all 4 songs for their craft and their sound.

I’m curious if you have cuts. I look forward to more from you.

THIS IS LOVE

VERSE
I could listen to the sound of you for hours
Even if you had nothing much to say
I feel a rush
When our knees touch
Our fingers brush
It makes me blush
It leaves a dopey smile upon my face

PRECHORUS
Can’t stop shaking
When you are taking off my dress
I am falling
Heels over head

CHORUS
This is love
Love love love
This is love
Love love love
This is love

VERSE
I wish we could spend a week or 10 in Paris
Take the metro throw our troubles in the Seine
A baby on the way
And bills to pay
Can’t get a raise
Our nerves are frayed
Tomorrow we’ll just do it all again

PRECHORUS
3 am feedings
Have left me needing more than rest
I am craving
That heels over head

REPEAT CHORUS

BRIDGE
Love is not always what you think
The years go by in just a blink
The kids have left an empty space
I want to get back to the place
Where…

VERSE
I could listen to the sound of you for hours
Even if I’ve heard you say it all before
Time has changed
The picture in the frame
But we’re still the same
Just rearranged
Every day I love you a little more

PRECHORUS
We’re getting stronger
The longer we live through this test
Just gets better
I’m still heels over head

REPEAT CHORUS
