Dave,

Clever song. I didn’t know that the “blonde cliche” extended to guys too. But the singer sells it really well. And having the singer tell on herself was very clever.

You have some great lines. I especially love “from the bumpkin patch”.

My only critique (really minor) is that I thought the “why he keeps on keeping on” was kind of a throwaway line. And I wondered if the “blondes are God’s most wonderful creatures” might just be a little too much. Maybe not, but it hit me the wrong way at first hearing.

Good song!

Born Blonde
by Dave Undis and Michael Skotte

VERSE
They say that blondes have more fun,
And they’re absolutely right.
My man was born blonde
And he parties every night.
Sometimes it seems his mind is turned off
But he always turns me on.
He’s all I ever wanted.
My man was born blonde.

He can’t change a light bulb alone.
He’s always losing his keys.
He don’t know arithmetic
But he sure knows how to please.
And when I’m feeling down and out
His smile is like a magic wand.
He’s all I ever dreamed of.
My man was born blonde.

CHORUS
Born blonde, he’s quite a catch.
Born blonde, from the bumpkin patch.
He’s a treat. Sugar sweet.
I’m so glad that he was born blonde.

VERSE
I’m no nuclear physicist.
Gym class was more my speed.
I slept through math and English.
I was dreaming of anatomy.
That’s exactly why he loves me,
Why he keeps on keeping on.
We’re both cut from the very same cloth.
Oh yeah, I was born blonde.

CHORUS
Born blonde, we’re a perfect match.
Born blonde, from the bumpkin patch.
What a treat. He’s just like me.
I’m so glad that we were born blonde.

BRIDGE
Being blonde ain’t a bug, it’s a feature.
Blondes are God’s most wonderful creatures.

CHORUS
Born blonde, we’re a perfect match.
Born blonde, from the bumpkin patch.
He’s a treat. Sugar sweet.
I’m so glad that he was born blonde.
Born blonde. We’re a perfect match.
Born blonde, from the bumpkin patch.
What a treat. He’s just like me.
I’m so glad that we were born blonde.
Born blonde.
I’m so glad that we were born blonde.

OUT
They say that blondes have more fun,
And they’re absolutely right.
With just a little peroxide
You can be a blonde tonight.
