A friend's adult son, with a diagnosed mental disorder, went into a hospital with his Bible and guitar. He said he would wait there for his miracle. He got his miracle and left the hospital, after a few weeks of therapy, medication, playing worship music and reading his Bible! The story in its entireity was so inspiring, I decided to write a song about it from the "patient's perspective."

COUNTDOWN TO THE MIRACLE
Kathryn R (Gordon) Robinson © 2016
V1
Out of answers, out of touch No reality, no, not much
But I got no worries, got no doubt anymore
‘Cause I know what you can do, Oh yes,
I’ve seen Your work before.
CHORUS:
I’m counting down to the miracle, the miracle
Looking for that thing You do so well, You do so well
So let Your love pour out, Oh, living water flow
There’s nothing you can’t do, oh Lord,
I gotta let it go.
V2
No apologies, no regrets. Not out of time, no not yet
‘Cause I know who I am, I belong to You.
Your plan is not for me to know
But I know You’ll bring me through.
CHORUS:
I’m counting down to the miracle, the miracle
Looking for that thing You do so well, You do so well
So let Your love pour out, Oh, living water flow
There’s nothing you can’t do, oh Lord,
I gotta let it go.
BRIDGE:
With Your power, and with my faith
There’s nothing that can keep us back
From anything we say.
With Your leading hand, showing me the way,
We will do what can’t be done,
I see it every day
