"You're The Last Song I Will Sing"
《Concept Draft 1》
Copyright ⓒ by Frank DeCenso, Jr
I've done songs about blonde haired beauties with blazing beach bodies
And each one's been a hit
I made a tune about bar room brawlers breaking bones and bottles
And radio keeps playing it
[PRE-CHORUS]
But I got a song no one else will get
Only one girl should hear
It's about a special lady who said, "I do"
I'll whisper it in her ear
[CHORUS]
You're the last song I will sing
You're every note in all I've been
Though the good Lord's blessed me with much more
You're the only one I'm living for
That's why you wear my ring
You're the last song I will sing
I've sung songs about barely blended booze and backroad breakups
That people keep singing to
Even done songs with backyard breezes blowing big bonfires
That I no longer need to do
[PRE-CHORUS]
'Cause I got a song no one else will get
Only one girl will hear
It's about a special lady who said, "I do"
I'll whisper it in her ear
[CHORUS]
You're the last song I will sing
You're every note in all I've been
Though the good Lord's blessed me with much more
You're the only one I'm living for
That's why you wear my ring
You're the last song I will sing
[BRIDGE]
I've done ballads at the Bluebird
Even sung Bluegrass rap
And those sleepless nights in a touring bus
Aren't where my heart was at
So I'm gonna tell her...
[CHORUS]
You're the last song I will sing
You're every note in all I've been
Though the good Lord's blessed me with much more
You're the only one I'm living for
That's why you wear my ring
You're the last song I will sing
