Hey Nancy,

I wish you had some lyrics to accompany this too. I could definitely see someone like Susan Tedeschi singing over this.

One thing I would adjust/remove is that saxophone(?) riff you have jumping in. I’ve always been weary of adding software-woodwinds/brass. There just isn’t a very good way to make it sound natural. Your addition of it kind of deflates the groove of the rest of your song.

Otherwise, let’s hear some singing!

Girl’s Trip

Written by Nancy Line

Stuck in a rut, couldn't get out of bed.
Didn't feel good, had no purpose left.
All I saw was a fifty somethin woman in distress.

My best friend called me in the nick of time.
Said the way you been acting girl it's a crime.
The way you're feeling, I've got the cure.
Pack a bag and I'll pick you up at your door.

Chorus: Girl's trip will get your mind right
Shop all day and dance all night.
You can throw away those prescription pills.
A girl's trip will cure your ills.

Jumped in my friend's I started to feel free
We giggled like the teenagers we used to be
I'd forgotten how to kick up my heels and have fun.
It was Friday night, the trip had just begun

Repeat Chorus:

I shared my pain, my joy my fears.
With my best buds, that I'd known for years.
I laughed till I cried and felt alive again.
I became the hot babe, that I was way back when.

Repeat Chorus
