It’s basically a deep reading of 2 Corinthians 12:9. I wrote it at a VERY challenging time in my life, I had a 4-month-old son in surgery for trachea repair when I wrote the lyrics, and two older sons I was caring for while my wife and youngest were stuck in the hospital for weeks.
Anything about it, really. I think I like the lyrics, but if there’s anything that stands out as needing attention I’d love to hear your opinion.

To the suffering You give compassion
To the oppressed You give love
To the captive You give freedom
To the weak You give strength
To the humble You give grace
In faith I trust in Your promises
In faith I submit to Your will
You prove Yourself trustworthy time after time
I will thank You in my suffering
I will thank You in my grief
I will thank You for all my weaknesses
I will thank You when I’m poor
I will thank You when I’m hungry
In faith I trust in Your promises
In faith I submit to Your will
You prove Yourself trustworthy time after time
In faith I trust in Your promises
In faith I submit to Your will
Your grace will be more than sufficient for me
You are a loving Father who gives me exactly what I need
I will still trust You even when my human eyes fail to see
