The Road (Afterlife Glow 4)

Written by Indie Soull

Never picked a rose that didn't wither,
Never seen a star that didn't shine,
Never touched a willow that didn't shiver in the wintertime,
Never seen the edge of the water when the moon was at its height
Never seen a young bird take its maiden flight
Never seen two wrongs ever make it right

That I have seen the road
And I have seen pines
Seen swinging doors
where the ripple wine
flows like rivers, like blood red rivers

Every autumn leaf has to fall but every tree still stands tall when the wind blows

...I have seen rain falling in sheets,
I have seen nights where the darkness weeps
And I have seen yesterdays falling on yesterdays.
