This song was about being able to receive a call from your parents. I could've written the song as two people, but I chose to write this song about One call from your parents, Mom and Dad. Some of you like myself can't get these calls anymore. If you can, please stop and take the time out of your busy day / life to talk to them. Tomorrow has no promises.

VERSE I
I got your voice message, when you called to say hello
And every time I hear it, I want to slam down this phone
It gets me leaning on the bourbon-hurting
Every time I hear your voice I’m certain, I should’ve answered that call
Chorus
I wish that green light could still light up on my cell phone
I’d accept that call, when are you coming home, I’d put it on speaker to amplify your voice
I’d talk to you forever, if I only had the choice, I once had, I’d talk to Mom and Dad
Verse II
I know I sent a message, sorry I can’t talk right now
I must have been busy, I should’ve slowed down
It gets me drinking, thinking what have I done
Regretting that I hit the red one, declining that call
Chorus
Bridge
God what is Heavens number, I want to call them on my phone
Is it 1-800-GOD-BLES, all I got was a dial tone
Chorus

Man, another great song. Great build into the BR then vocal into the final CH is solid. Thanks for sharing. Nice job! Thanks, Brent
