We the People is a celebration of the people who really make America tick. People who put in the long hours every day and get things done. People who put their lives on hold (and on the line) to protect their family and our freedoms.

Bill,
Another really nice write my friend.
Tight lyrics, story moves well, Imagry is solid and a “feel good theme” makes this work well for me.
Another strong effort sir !!
Cheers,
Joe

Thanks, for the feedback, Joe and “Uncle” Brent.
To answer Brent’s question, I did not do the production on it. I sent a guitar/vocal to Maks Gabriel with the groove and some song references. Then, Maks and AJ Cross (vocals) did their magic! (I wrote the song with Michael August from Demolition Pub.—we both contributed melody, lyrics, and chord structure.)

Bright and early we get our hands dirty
turning the Georgia clay
spend our time in a Pennsylvania coal mine
missing the light of day
roll up miles burning down the highway
from New York to LA
get it done in the Santa Fe sun
and Seattle rain
and God knows we ain't afraid of a little hard work
and we ain't ever asked for
nothing we ain't earned
we the people, a country strong
we'll stand forever cuz we never stand alone
we the people, proud and brave
we're the ones who make this land we love great
we the people
generations defending this nation
no matter what the cost
and we all pause in memory of
the heroes we have lost
mothers, fathers, sons and daughters
who made a sacrifice
to protect the ones they love
and our way of life
when the cause of freedom needs a little help
who's the ones that rise up
you know we will

Bill,
You are a diverse songwriter. Great detail and very sing-able melody. This has a good ‘‘new” country sound. My favorite line is “And God knows we ain’t afraid of a little hard work.” Consider adding the Whoahs to more sections of the song because everyone can sing that ... Did you write the music? Thanks, Uncle Brent
