About This Song

One of the first country songs I wrote after returning from Desert Storm. 1995

became the the title track to my first independent release and charted to #1 in ECMA's.

I was young and this song is about growing up in Texas and chasing women.
LOTS OF TEXAS TWANG smile

FOOLISH HEART
C.WALLACE BMI/CASTLE ARTS MUSIC INC.

V1
Well It's always been a sucker for big bright eyes and pretty pretty smile
Long flowing hair from here to there in that sexy texas style
All my friends say I fall too much, i need to learn to love smart
I let em know, i’ve got no control over this foolish heart

C
Got a foolish heart/ It don't see a thing
It’s blinded by beauty in tight fittin jeans
It’ll follow a girl all over town even though she said no from the start
Lord knows I’ve tried but, i can't deny i’ve got a foolish heart

V2
Well it don’t matter if their blondes or brunettes it likes them short or tall
If they can walk that walk and talk that talk/ it’ll love em all
It's even fallen for a barracuda that ripped it apart
If it’s in pain/ im not to blame/ i've got a foolish heart

C
Got a foolish heart/ It don't see a thing
It’s blinded by beauty in tight fittin jeans
It’ll follow a girl all over town even though she said no from the start
Lord knows I’ve tried but, i can't deny i’ve got a foolish heart

B
I can't be the only one who falls
Does anybody have a hotline number i can call

C
Got a foolish heart/ It don't see a thing
It’s blinded by beauty in tight fittin jeans
It’ll follow a girl all over town even though she said no from the start
Lord knows I’ve tried but, i can't deny i’ve got a foolish heart
