This song is about the old traditional real country music how it should never go bad, like a gallon of Milk or go flat like a Budlight Beer. So it's O.K. to play some Merle Haggard, Charlie Pride or Conway as well as Luke Combs, Riley Green, Eric Church and more. You can have the best of both worlds because the real country music of the vinyl records and 8 track songs day have no expiration date or any music for that matter real traditional country or even the New Modern country music sounds of today. I love them both
Feedback is good, I'd really like to know what you think. For me this is one of my favorite songs on my new CD as it pays tribute to the real traditional country music as well as the sounds of Riley Green and Luke Combs of todays Modern New Country Music. This is unique, nobody has written about this idea, unlike truck songs, girls songs, etc. I feel the images are painted well-but it comes down to the listener, can you relate to this song? Thank You and I appreciate all of you for your hard work at crafting your songs.

Verse I CapoII EXPIRATION DATE
You can’t throw a good song away, like this one on vinyl, He stopped loving her today
You can’t toss an 8 track in the trash as long as it still plays Haggard, Whitley or Cash
Pre-Chorus
Cause you grew up on their songs and they’re still with you today, forever in your heart, never old or out of date
Chorus
Cause real country music doesn’t go bad, there’s no best if used by date, Stamped on Conway, Pride or Hank
And real country music didn’t go flat, it didn’t need a born on date, marked on Jennings, Jones or Strait
Cause real country music, has no expiration date
Verse II
You should download their songs to your phone, add’em to your playlist with Riley Green and Luke Combs
Pre-Chorus
You can have the best of both worlds, I wish grandpas never died, Houston we got a problem if you don’t play Momma Tried
Chorus
Cause real country music doesn’t go bad, there’s no best if used by date, Stamped on Conway, Pride or Hank
And real country music didn’t go flat, it didn’t need a born on date, marked on Jennings, Jones or Strait
Cause real country music, has no expiration date
LEAD, Bridge
You can have the best of both worlds, I wish grandpas never died, Houston we got a problem if you don’t play Momma Tried
Chorus
Cause real country music doesn’t go bad, there’s no best if used by date, Stamped on Conway, Pride or Hank
And real country music didn’t go flat, it didn’t need a born on date, marked on Jennings, Jones or Strait, cause real country music, oh real country music, has no expiration date
