Inspired vaguely by my girlfriend at the time.
Hey! I made the verse and chorus similar to keep that loungey vibe going. The post choruses and the outro to me seem like they’re the answer to your instrumental question, and again I wanted to really get that chill coffee-shop vibe with it. Thanks for listening to the song!

So what if I like silly love songs?
So what if I wanna dance?
We’re had that same day every day, sorta kinda way
For I don’t know how long
Work doesn’t come ‘till tomorrow, baby
What do we have to lose?
All we need is your heartbeat
Breathe in and let the tempo flow through you
And let me spin you around my room, because you want me to
Dim the lights and close your eyes, I bet you feel it too
Baby I don’t want you to leave just yet
Just hold onto me, slow dance to the beat
And let me spin you around my room, because you want me to
Dim the lights and close your eyes, I bet you feel it too
Baby I don’t want you to leave just yet
Just hold onto me, slow dance to the beat
Because you want me to
I might not pay the most attention
My memory’s lacking too
But when you look me in the eyes, press your hand against mine
I’ll know what to do
It’s our night, can you feel it?
All of the stars are aligned as your hand crashes into mine
And all we need is your heartbeat
Breathe in and let the tempo flow through you
And let me spin you around my room, because you want me to
Dim the lights and close your eyes, I bet you feel it too
Baby I don’t want you to leave just yet
Just hold onto me, slow dance to the beat
And let me spin you around my room, because you want me to
Dim the lights and close your eyes, I bet you feel it too
Baby I don’t want you to leave just yet
Just hold onto me, slow dance to the beat
Because you want me to
Don’t you look so nice, that flowery dress
You bought one afternoon over you
The sun will be here soon, and I’m never ready
To leave a moment like this tonight
You see, the price I would pay to leave
If only the sunshine took its time so I can just take mine
And sway because you want me to

What if you changed up the chorus tempo/melody so there it is contrast to the verses? And, perhaps include some space in your song with rests- or a 4 bar instrumental using your melody motif?
