Hello Xave,
I’m returning the favor since you were nice enough to offer feedback on one of my songs.
I gotta start off saying that my favorite part, hands down, is that “hey diddle diddle, got a banjo and a fiddle”. Love that line! Personally, I think the word “get” flows better than “got” when I say sing that, but the lines is still great!...
Ronnie makes a good point about talking about the nightlife. That’s a good idea, and you already talk about it being “stompin time tonight”....
Now, the main critique for me would be that the song title is “That’s Our Sound”. Seems like that title would lean towards a lot of lines that talk about the “sounds” of country, whatever that imagery would be. If I’d come up with that title, I probably would’ve started with an object writing exercise of just listing all the different sounds I could think of associated with country farm life. What does farm life “sound” like? Roosters crowing, tractors cranking, coffee pot brewing before the sun comes up, the sweet sound of that much needed rain hitting the roof, or the sound of those feet stompin to the banjo and fiddle, etc. Maybe even love for the sound of peace and quiet out in the country…
I like the rocking country sound of your music and melody. I enjoyed listening to your song. I think that this is a song that as you spend more time with it, making a line better here and there, tweaking on that demo, etc, it’s just going to keep sounding better than better…
Good luck and thanks for sharing!

Hey Xave, much better clarity on the vocals!
I like the song, it’s upbeat with a country rock feel to it. Colt Ford came to mind as I was tuning in to your song. I think your song has potential. There’s a few lines that could be tweaked, but overall it looks good. I would like to see what Country That’s Our Sound looks like from daybreak to sundown. Somewhere in the Chorus or the bridge section. Right now, I don’t think the bridge adds anything new to the story line. It’s a great place to change the POV or to create a turn around. To shine a new light on the chorus for the 3rd time around.
Thanks for sharing your song! I look forward to hearing more songs from you.
Happy Songwriting!
