About a guy who meets a beautiful woman in a bar
They end up having a real nice one night stand
upbeat on the verses, tempo drops, for the chorus
old style country
Is it maybe a hit? are there any publishers who would be interested in a song like this?
Real nice play on words. Like the song a lot. Excellent vocals and production. Thanks for sharing.

I love the tempo changes… it totally works with the lyric and the tug-of-war of where the night will take them.

We'd been dancin' all night
She was holdin' me tight by the last call
Oh.. that old Cuervo Gold
Sure had her feelin' bold we danced the last song
She took my hand and pulled me out on the floor
I thought to myself tonight is heavin' for sure
I'd never been with such a beautiful woman before
She laid her head on my shoulder
Held her body close to mine
While the band was playin'
Help Me Make It Through The Night
She said there's times I can make it
I don't need no one at all
But tonight I can't fake it
I don't wanna be alone
We left the bar
We drove off in my car down the highway
Oh she turned the radio to somethin' soft and low
Slid over my way she got real close
And whisperd in my ear she said I know a place
And it ain't far from here
I put my foot on the gas brother I was shiftin' some gears
She laid her head on my shoulder
And she softly sang along
While the radio was playin'
An old Willie Nelson song
She said there's times I can make it
I don't need no one at all
But tonight I can't fake it
I don't wanna be alone
She laid her head on my shoulder

Steve Hatfield here Larry. I’m new to Frettie but not songwriting. I was impressed with this. The dramatic change between the verse and chorus works. To me, I could even see a Jimmy Buffet arrangement. Just wanted to compliment you. Good luck with it.
