About This Song

A fun song I wrote thinking about how people change over the years .. How how you can't believe your eyes when you see how they grew up...

Hey Sheila, funny idea, nice story telling. Musically I think the chorus needs to stand out more, it’s too much in the same register as the verses are.

Thanks Marylin and Frank. That’s why I’m here to learn.

I think its a good idea, I dont think the oohs! and Yucks work. They are distracting a bit from the song. What about slowing it down some? could make it more impactful. Cheers! and thanks for the song. RWR

I like the song. With a little bit of a re-write on the melody and lyrics, I can imagine this one on the radio.

You OUght to see him...

Written by Sheila Moreland

He was just a kid from down the street we knew when we were little..
Teased us girls with creepy bugs and slimy worms that wiggle..
His clothes were always dirty his hair was such a mess but something in his deep blue eyes I never will forget..

You ought to see him now girls you ought to see him now.
that chubby boy from down the street is all grown up and WOW
IF your looking for a man to love you better find another..
Cause Im the girl hell be taking home to meet his mother..

The first time I laid eyes on that man I didn't recognize him
HIs curly hair was wavy now he was so tall and slim
ripped and fully loaded mmmmmm totally equipped
IF superman had buns of steel I bet they'd look like his..

You ought to see him now girls, you ought to see him now
that chubby boy from down the street is all grown up and WOW
IF your looking for a man to love you better find another
cause i'm the girl hell be taking home to see meet mother.

Hey Girls.. come here... check him out... Oh yeah... Be still my heart... whistles....

When he takes me to the clubd tonight all the girls will turn to see.
There will be a thousand whispers.. who could that hunk be..
when he takes me to dance floor they will all turn green with envy..
You can look all you want to girls , but this ones coming home with me...

You ought to see him now girls you ought to see him now
that chubby boy from down the street is all grown up and WOW
Keep your cotton picken hands off him go find yourself another..
Cause i'm the girl that hell be taking home to meet his mother..
See what I mean girls... You can look but dont you touch....
