Hi Charles - I like the line ‘got a little drunk on your Shiner Bock kiss’ - didn’t know what that meant, but I found out it’s a beer -LOL. Would have liked to hear more of such lines, most other are a bit cliche, but don’t worry too much, most songs are full of cliches.

Hi, Charles!  Thanks for sharing your song with us.  I like that it’s a positive, me/you love song.  And I like the title/idea.  I’d like to have more specific imagery, a la the Shiner Bock kiss.  Lines like that make it feel more real.

Hope that helps!  Please pay it forward by leaving a comment on another writer’s song.  Thanks!

I agree with Brent and Frank, loved the Shiner Bock line right up to the moonlight twist and was hoping it was going to continue with that kind of imagery! The title was why I picked to listen to your song. real nice song, great job!

I’m amazed by the way you’ve taken hold over me
I’ve always lived my life so easy and free
There’s been a lot of ladies, nothing seemed to last
Since I met you, girl that’s all in the past

How do you know when you found a love that’s true?
MAN YA JUST DO (man ya just do), MAN YOU JUST DO (man ya just do), MAN YA JUST DO

You grabbed me by the heart, took me by surprise
With your pretty brown eyes and your angel smile
I got a little drunk on your Shiner Bock kiss
Bodies close, dancing slow in our moonlight tryst

How do you know when you found a love that’s true?
MAN YA JUST DO (man ya just do), MAN YOU JUST DO (man ya just do), MAN YA JUST DO

I’ve been in love before but I never felt so high
Hold on to me girl, hold on to me girl
I never wanna be without you by my side
Hold on to me girl, hold on to me girl

How do you know when you found a love that’s true?
(tacet)
How do you know when you found a love that’s true?

MAN YA JUST DO (man ya just do), MAN YOU JUST DO (man ya just do), MAN YA JUST DO (repeat)
