About This Song

well I think even hillbillys deserve a good love song every now and then! Sorry I didn't realize at the time I was recording this that I believe I drug the ending out a bit toooo long!

Thanks for sharing! This is very descriptive, and the way you drag out Glow, I think is really cool. It is just enough to make the song unique. These types of little details I am starting to see are part of your “style”, which creates somewhat of a branded sound and I agree that the end of the song does start to drag on.

Your songs are rich with visuals, but this one is really cool (and fun). The song has 2 other things going for it: 1) a dead skunk in the first line (they always say to open with a line that grabs everyone’s attention), and 2) a banjo (what song isn’t better with a banjo?).

Have you ever heard any of Bill Whyte’s songs. Your style is similar to his. He has several cuts in Nashville with his humorous songs.

Believe it or not I had the first two lines laying around for several years trying to figure out how I could use it in a song and I finally did! Oh and they prefer to be called Banjers… no I don’t think I’ve heard of Bill Whyte, seems like I should tho…I thought I knew most everyone in this town by now! I’ll have to look him up, I didn’t know people cut humorous songs!
