Thank you for the feedback, Dennis! I definitely hear what you’re saying. I am revamping some melodies now so that my voice can be showcased better when I play live. It gets a little “held back” as you say, when the melody line drops lower.

Thanks for sharing Melissa! This song has some really nice qualities to it and I think it is the making of a great song. The instruments throughout are really cool as well.
I can also tell you have some very strong vocal abilities. Perhaps you could showcase those more in this song? It feels like the verses you are holding back some. That may not be the case, but I feel you have more in the tank. I really didn’t notice it until you hit the bridge. That is when I started to see the full potential of this song and the style of it. It starts to take on an “Evanescence” feel to it. Which I kind of like. Ending it with that little piano solo was also a real nice touch. I am interested to see what others think, and I look forward to hearing more from you.
