This is a song about a guy in love but too stubborn to admit it, so he left love to live his own life. This song was my late dads favorite song, so it is really special to me.
Lyrics, singing, story, structure, ect, any feedback is appreciated.
Thx Lee I will definitely go back and look at this one with ur input as it means a lot to me ...Thx

Riding down the Highway and I think I'll find me a day like yesterday.
Doing things my way I am sure to get by someday, someway
And I don't know where i'am going or where I been darling where I been
all I know is I left you and you loved me ' Darling you loved me' ( Uh HUH)
Maybe stop a while, just one more toke Ia'm on my way to yesterday.
I dare the Lord to stop me , not even Satan get's in my way to yesterday.
And I don't know where Ia'm going or where iv'e been darling where I been
All I know is I left you and you loved me darling you loved me ( UH HUH )
You know I am lost without ya never thought I'd ever find my way
( Come yesterday) HEY HEY " YEE HAAA"
Riding down the Highway and I think i"ll find me a day like yesterday.
doing thing's my way I am sure to get by someday someway.
And I don't know where I'am going or where I've been darling where I been.
And all I know is I left you and you loved me darling you loved me UH HUH
You loved me UH HUH
You loved me UH HUH

Enjoyed this song musically. Like the idea of the of the stubborn guy who knew he was in love but couldn’t / wouldn’t follow his heart. To me the lyric needed a narrative to give more emotional attachment. Who was it he fell in love with ? How old was he ? Why did he make the choice he did ? Did he regret it years later ?
