Rocking Country
Any thoughts
Hey, Rob! Thanks for sharing your song with us. First of all, I always love hearing a Matt Dame vocal. He’s a hometown buddy and a great singer.
The melody has a good feel. The lyrics are pretty tight and focused on the hook/theme.
Positive, uptempo, love. Check, check, check. Nice work. Keep it up!

Hello Rob…
You know how to produce! The opening and then the strange sounds wrapped into the verse soundtrack is just intriguing and sucks you right in. I love the dynamics of the abrupt changes of direction from the chorus to verse and back.
I would have loved the chorus with the strong guitar power chords also… but you might have lost the dynamics of course. I don’t listen to lyrics on a song like this so that is immaterial to me as a listener of this rockin song. I like it a lot. Good work.

Hope you like the flowers I sent
Text messages I blew up your phone
Meant every word that I said
Baby I can’t wait to get home
When it comes to loving you I’m amazed
You got me thinking something new everyday
Chorus:
How many ways I can say I love you
How many words I can find to prove
That you mean everything to me
Whatever it takes just let me know
Cause whatever it takes I’ll do to show you
How many ways I can say I love you
How many ways
Couldn’t miss the poem that I wrote
With your lipstick on the bathroom mirror
Reflecting my thoughts
Hope it holds you till I hold you near
I’m finding new ways every day to describe
What I’ve been feeling in your arms every night
Chorus:
How many ways I can say I love you
How many words I can find to prove
That you mean everything to me
Whatever it takes just let me know
Cause whatever it takes I’ll do to show you
How many ways I can say I love you
How many ways

Good song! They always say to find a different way to say “I love you”, and you came up with “How many ways”. I like it!
I’m thinking in V1 the phrase “I blew up your phone” might be cliche these days, as I’ve heard it in a couple of different songs and elsewhere.
In V2, I’m glad the singer didn’t sing the word “that” even though it’s in the lyrics. It’s one of those words that always jumps out to me. If you need another syllable or two for that line, you could always stick an adverb in front of “wrote”.
Another word that always bugs me is the “just” you have in the chorus. I’m torn on this one…as it sounds so good. Another option might be “please”. I’m leaning toward letting this one slide… LOL!
Another good song,
Phillip
