Just a song about spotting the Femme Fatale at the bar.
If you could be so kind, just some general impressions of the song/lyrics/melody/etc are much appreciated!
I think the song is very upbeat and has a fresh rock sound, like it would play well on college radio and be popular to start there. I’m thinking the lyrics are playful and that is okay since it is a cheeky lyric. Maybe consider in future arrangements or performances to highlight the female vocal to accentuate the lyric in some spots….either with a whispered lyric overlay or some type of echo type of effect, especially in the hook of “how she likes it” - seems appropriate to have that element thrown in. I also like the scratch effect early in the song after the first refrain - that was kind of funky. Keep that. ![]()

She's got the look that gets all the boys hooked
But only few will live to tell the tale
Good luck getting her name, best be on top of your game
Cuz within seconds your routine gets stale
You said you'd kill for just a taste
But she'll be quick to lay you to waste
She's always high in demand
She'll make you putty in her hands
And oh oh oh oh
That's just how she likes it
Vodka soda and lime, she gets it everytime
But she'll never be stuck with the bill
Batter up, batter up, You're next to fill up her cup
Will you strike out or go in for the kill?
So many try to crack the shell
Of this frigid femme fatale
She's always high in demand
She'll make you putty in her hands
And oh oh oh oh
That's just how she likes it
She'll launch a thousand ships
With just a swing of her hips
And oh oh oh oh
That's just how she likes it.
Did she come here to meet someone?
Or did she just come to dance?
You said you'd kill for just a taste
But she'll be quick to lay you to waste
She's always high in demand
She'll make you putty in her hands
And oh oh oh oh
That's just how she likes it
She'll launch a thousand ships
With just a swing of her hips
And oh oh oh oh
That's just how she likes it.
And oh oh oh oh
That's just how she likes it.
And oh oh oh oh
That's just how she likes it.
