Lon now plays the computer music systems but also played guitar, piano, clarinet, sax and sitar on recordings by artists like Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, John Lennon, Dr. John, Ben Vereen, Harry Nilsson, Carly Simon and Art Garfunkel and many more..
He began his musical training at age 5 on the clarinet. His formal musical training was at the Berklee School of Music, Boston Massachusetts, and at The New School for Social Research, New York, NY majoring in composition. He was senior executive officer for Harmony Records, a independent record label and became a staff songwriter for Screen Gems, Colgems, EMI Music. He lists Pop as genre but he spans all of them, from recording Zubin Mehta at the Kennedy Center to having been elected a delegate to the UN for his musical score, "The Dance of Life."
