Sherrill built his career through stops at MCA music publishing, NSAI, and Buckhorn Music, where he helped land early recordings for a then-unknown ten-year-old singer named Leann Rimes. He's a three-time Music Row Song Plugger of the year, former president of the Nashville Publishers Network, co-founder of the Independent Pluggers Association, and one of the most respected song advocates in Nashville history.
