You need to be out there pitching your songs. If your song never gets pitched, it’ll never get cut.
You gotta do what you gotta do to stay in the biz. Uber came along at a good time for songwriters!
Day job or night job? If you work during the day, you can play out and network at night, but you can’t write during the day. If you work at night, you can write during the day but can’t go out and network. You have to figure out which one works for you.
When you have your 1st big hit, pay the government first!

You enter your song. I listen and choose the 10 I think have the best chance to catch the publisher’s ear (in a good way). The 10 winners join me and the publisher on a live Zoom videoconference, and he listens to your songs and gives feedback. This is a real meeting with a real publisher. And everyone who enters a song gets to watch the video replay of the event, which will be FULL of real-world wisdom and advice for songwriters on the CLIMB.
