Coaching

Reading the blog, listening to The C.L.I.M.B., reading the books and taking online courses and classes are a great way to learn more about the art, craft, and business of songwriting.  But eventually, you’ll probably need the PERSONAL touch.

I want to help you write better songs and reach your songwriting goals.  Sometimes the best way to do that is to discuss –  in a one-to-one, personal way – your songwriting goals, listen to songs and give feedback, and answer your questions.

And it doesn’t matter where you live- because these sessions are all over the phone or online!  (When you book your session, you can choose to meet over the phone or on Skype, Google Hangouts, or Fuze.)

Check out the list of my songwriter coaching services below.  If you find one you’re interested in, you can book our first session right on this page.  If you’re not sure, you can sign up below to find out more info on songwriter coaching.  I look forward to getting to know you and your music!

If you’re not ready to book an appointment just yet, but you’d like me to email you with more information about the coaching process- or you’d like to know when a special coaching opportunity becomes available (like group workshops or live events), just sign up below.  Thanks!

  1. I am specifically interested in coaching to help me with idea development. I would like some information on what I can expect from coaching sessions–I am not really sure how you will be able to help me in one brief hour? Thanks in advance for your consideration. My webpage will give you some idea of where I am now.

    1. Hi, Davis. Yes, an hour flies by, no doubt. But there are a few ways we can approach building your idea muscle.

You can bring in a finished song, a song-in-progress, or a title or idea-seed and we’ll work on developing it together. I’ll give you my thoughts on where the idea can go, but more importantly, I’ll share techniques I use to develop my own song ideas. That’s really where the value is- learning how to think about ideas and developing processes to make them as strong as possible.

I’d also be happy to walk you through the idea development process I used on songs of mine that have been recorded by major label artists.

If that sounds like something that would benefit you, let’s set up a session. I’m happy to be of service!

  2. Thanks for the mentoring/coaching session! What an awesome hour for me. I learned a lot and was left with a ton to think about and play around in my head with. The session was very motivating and I’m very grateful for you sharing your knowledge and experiences with me. While I was nervous at first you made all that disappear within 30 seconds. You have the heart of a teacher and I’m happy I found manvsrow! Looking forward to your future mentoring.

    1. Thanks, Matt! I enjoyed our session- you have some good ideas. However, I’m still mad at myself for not thinking of that one title first. Keep up the good work!

  3. Hi, Kris! I don’t have any 1-to-1 spots open right now. When I add a few, I’ll send word out via email and social media to the MvR community. Thanks for your interest!
    God Bless,
    Brent

  4. Your coaching sessions have really paid off. I’ve had amazing pub meetings this week! I’m forever grateful! Thanks Brent.
