  1. Buy me a drink and I’ll get a tattoo
of your name plastered on my back
You scratch mine and I’ll scratch yours
I just need enough nerve poured

Buy me a drink and I’ll write you a song
guaranteed to be a #1 track
I’ll put it to the music playin’ in my head
I just need to get the words poured

    Drinkin’ makes me do
    the things I wouldn’t do
if I had to do them all alone
I hope somebody buys me a cold one
so I can get some things done

  2. Chorus: Gotta buy me a drink, two fingers and a rock.
Extend that time on that idle hour clock.
Need to sip some sweet Kentucky bourbon.
A shot of whiskey just leaves me hurtin’.
‘Cause I need more than thirty seconds.
To share with you all my burdens.

    V1
You look so beautiful as I sit across from you.
Your misty green eyes flashing come over to me smiles, all around the room.
I need your attention to get to me, but I don’t want to be too loud.
I love that thing you’re shaking, oh can’t you hear my heart quaking over all this barroom crowd?
    V2
I could sit here for hours just talking and dreaming with you.
Give me a slow drink let me tell you all the things that I’ve been through.
I’d ask you for your number but that would probably end this night.
You’re my sexy dreamy bartender we got this thing we do every night.

    (I’m thinking maybe V1 is actually V2?)

  3. Buy me a drink, It will help me think
    My life is drifting away
Nothing but good times, thought all was fine
Found a note, says she cannot stay

  4. Same Friday night at the local bar, until she walked in. Dj playin our favorite songs, the bands on break again. I asked her what she was doin here, she looked so out of place. staring straight into my eyes, I didn’t know what to think…

Buy me a drink, somethin strong an tall.
Don’t want it to be, short an sweet, that aim ‘t for me at all. it’ll pick me up, spin me around, held like a missin link. pour me a shot of cowboy…that’s my drink.

The band started playing their final set, as the alcohol kicked in. we were two steppin on the dance floor, trying to keep my smile hid. I picked her up, spuner around, Holdn’ tight to her hand. Calling me her country cowboy, that she’d like to taste again…
