Wordplay Thursday #66

Wordplay Thursday

Welcome to Wordplay Thursday!

Here’s a writing prompt for you.  It’s a simple fill-in-the-blank. You can use one word or several. Feel free to get as crazy, genre-appropriate, or as imaginative as you want. The point is to get the creative juices flowing. And it’s a good thing to dig deeper, so don’t stop at the first idea that hits you. Try coming up with at least five things.

“He’s about as considerate as _____.”

I’ll give you an example to get you started:

“He’s about as considerate as termites.”

I’d love to hear what you come up with, so please share in the comments. Oh, and please keep your posts below an R-rating. It’s a family show, after all!

Thanks to Debie, Kelder54, Barney Coulter, Janet Goodman, Ken Matthiesen, Jeff Green, brianrobinson63, Bill Soprano, Amy Nichols, Roger Vines, LV Johnson and everyone else for your great additions to Wordplay Thursday #65 (read it here)! Great job!

  1. He’s about as considerate as…

    A pimple before prom
    Oscar the grouch
An earthquake that comes without warning and shakes things up
A tornado, leaving a path of broken promises in his wake
A puppy who hasn’t been housebroken
    That stinker Eddie Haskell

  2. He’s about as considerite as:

Hitler on a bad hair day. When he met her new boyfriend out also shopping for her a ring. Shoppers on black friday. Two women in a hurry and one parking spot. A duelist who can only count to nine. A late night solicitor call. Ants at a picnic. A spoiled child.

  3. He’s about as considerate as a fox in a henhouse.
As the flood waters after a storm
As a riptide on a stormy beach

  4. He’s about as considerate as…..

    – a late spring snowstorm
    – an airline customer service rep
    – a politician wanting your vote
    – a fly in your ear while trying to sleep
    – the visiting team winning your homecoming football game

  5. He’s about as considerate
as….. —a tack in my shoe
—the neighbors dog on trash night
    —a telemarketer before breakfast
