Wordplay Thursday #34

Here’s a writing prompt for you. It’s a simple fill-in-the-blank. You can use one word or several. Feel free to get as crazy, genre-appropriate, or as imaginative as you want. The point is to get the creative juices flowing. And it’s a good thing to dig deeper, so don’t stop at the first idea that hits you. Try coming up with at least five things.

“Her legs were as long as _______.”

I’ll give you an example to get you started:

“Her legs were as long as the look he gave them.”

I’d love to hear what you come up with, so please share in the comments. Oh, and please keep your posts below an R-rating. It’s a family show, after all!

SHOUT OUT!

Thanks to everyone for your great additions to Wordplay Thursday #33 (read it here)! Great job!

  1. Her legs were as long as:

    – a day in Congress
    – a clown’s stilts
    – as a safari trip in a school bus
    – a hayfield before a fresh cut
(could mean she needs to shave)
               …sorry, couldn’t resist… 🙂
    – an in-laws’ visit

Her legs were as long as a double feature at the Bijou.

  3. Her legs were as long as….

Whitney Houston’s beautiful high, powerful notes she achieved so easily.
the distance between my Special Ops guy & myself.
driving I-95 south to Key West.
watching and waiting for pizza dough to rise.
the miles it took me to cycle around Lake Waramaug.
that reluctant time frame, patiently waiting for summer to finally arrive!

  4. her legs were as long as the nite before Christmas morning
her legs were as long as the gaze in a lover’s eye
her legs were as long as the shortest eternity
her legs were as long as my arsenal of pickup lines!
her legs were as long as the distance to the moon

  5. Her legs are as long as an early mornin’ snail trail.
Her legs are as long as a newborn filly’s.
Her legs are as long as hot is to chili.
Her legs are long like the Mississippi River.
Her legs are long an’ I wanna give ‘er …
    Good lovin’, good lovin’,
    Like wheat bread
    in a country oven.
